Get to know Vrsi, a place located on the peninsula of the same name, in the far northwestern part of northern Dalmatia, only 20 km from Zadar and 5 km from the oldest Croatian royal city of Nin. The name of Vrsi comes from the word “peak”, reflecting its picturesque location on the top of the peninsula of the same name.
Vrsi is located on a beautiful 34 km long coast, which is full of natural sandy, pebble, rocky beaches, and coves ideal for swimming or relaxing far from urban centers. In addition, there are two islets, Mišjak and the particularly interesting one – Zečevo. It becomes a peninsula during low tide, and the tide turns it into an island. On it is the small church of Our Lady of Zečevo, to which the Catholics make a pilgrimage every year on May 5th and August 5th. In the western part of Vrsi along the sea, 3 km long, there is a pine forest, and the whole area is ideal for escaping the summer heat. Cycling enthusiasts can enjoy numerous cycling routes, and for those who like to go offroad, Vrsi and its surroundings offer many possibilities due to their geographical location.
In addition to natural beauties, Vrsi offers a long landscaped promenade where you can find children’s parks, an exercise park, restaurants with authentic Croatian dishes, cafes, and many other facilities. Famous beaches: beach Duboka Draga, beach Ričina, beach Mulo, beach Kukinica, beach Ljaljkovača, beach Punta Velebit, beach Zečevo, etc…
